For intermediate or above string student & amateur musicians
Are you a string player who wants to play together with some of Canada’s leading chamber and orchestral musicians? Belfountain Music Festival Orchestra’s Side-by-Side experience is designed for string players from various different backgrounds to make music together, get to know each other, and perform together. The mentors of the program are highly sought-after string players who are inspiring leaders and warm people.
Rehearsals will take place at a location downtown Toronto (TBA), and the concert will take place on Sunday, August 18 at 2pm at Alton Mill Arts Centre in Caledon, ON.
Apply by June 1st, 2019.
Must be a string player (violin, viola, cello, and double bass)
RCM Level 8 or higher equivalent
There is no age limit.

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule:
Tuesday, August 13th 4pm - 6pm
Thursday, August 15th 6:30pm - 8:30pm
- Friday, August 16th 12:30pm - 2pm
- Sunday, August 18th 1pm Soundcheck; 2pm Concert
*rehearsals will take place at a location downtown Toronto (TBA), and soundcheck and concert will be at Alton Mill Arts Centre in Caledon, ON.
