Emily Vondrejs, soprano
Emily Vondrejs is working on completing a BMus of Vocal Performance at Wilfrid Laurier University. She is studying with Canadian soprano Leslie Fagan, and vocal coaches Leslie De’Ath, Anna Ronai, and Lorin Shalanko.
Emily was first introduced to music at the age of three with Music for Young Children followed by piano with Suzuki Music. During high school, Emily earned lead roles in a variety of school plays and musicals which increased her interest in performance. Emily began formal vocal training the year before auditioning for her bachelor's degree. This past year, Emily was the recipient of the Maureen Forrester Music Scholarship for demonstrating outstanding talent in performance.
In March 2019, she sang the title role in the opera Cendrillon by Jules Massenet with Laurier Opera. Emily performs solo recitals annually at the Belfountain Music Festival and at several local churches near her home town of Erin, Ontario.
