About Belfountain Music Festival

Located in Caledon, Ontario, only an hour's drive from downtown Toronto, Belfountain Music Festival welcomes audiences of all ages for a weekend-long music festival every year in August. The festival's intimate concerts bring the community together, animate local historic and landmark sites, and open people's ears and minds.

Belfountain Music Festival was founded in 2014 by violinist Zackary Ebin to provide great musical experiences in the Caledon community featuring professional classical musicians and student musicians. The name pays tribute to the hamlet of Belfountain and the Belfountain Heritage Society, which hosted many of the festival's concerts at their historic site, Melville White Church.

The festival continues the mission of presenting artistically excellent concert music to be enjoyed by audiences all ages, with the beautiful and picturesque Caledon as its backdrop.

General and Artistic Director Emily Rho's goal is to bring in some of the most exciting classical artists in Canada to the region, as well as keeping the Founding Artistic Director's initial vision of nurturing the next generation and community musicians by providing mentorship opportunities and a side-by-side orchestra project.

Since the beginning of the festival in 2014, BMF has worked closely with local individuals and businesses to make the festival possible, and the festival events are really a community endeavour. We continue to collaborate with our volunteers, supporters, partners, and musicians to provide inspiring and culturally enriching events in Caledon, ON.
